Recruitment Policy

Since its inception, the Khandesh College Education Society has adopted a policy of recruiting qualified teachers with bright career. In the initial years, the Management of the College invited eminent and dedicated teachers from the region. Similarly, the Trust search for young talent with ideal values for being recruited in the College. This help a lot for the all-round development of the College.

The recruitment of the teacher in the College is done strictly as per the standard rules, regulations and norms of U.G.C., Government of Maharashtra and North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The Reservation policy is strictly followed.

Accordingly, the procedure for recruitment is as under:
At the end of every year, Head of the Department draws the requirement of the staff for next academic year.

Principal, in consultation with Vice Principals and Head of the Departments, draws a plan of recruitment.Such plan is discussed and approved by:

  • Local Managing Council and
  • Managing Council of the Trusts

The approval to draft advertisement is sought from University and Director of Higher Education. The approved advertisement is widely published statutorily formed Selection Committee conducts the interviews.

The University appoints the selected candidate, subject to approval.

Faculty Appraisal

The College uses U.G.C. prescribed Self Appraisal form.The authorities collect the duly completed Self-Appraisal forms of the teachers with remarks by concerned Head of Department. They are used for following purposes:

  • Time bound placement in higher scale.
  • Promotion to the post of reader.
  • Fixation of pay in the revised scale.

Formal evaluation of the faculty in teaching, research and extension work in the structured manner since 2001-2002.

Nomination on various committees for seeking more involvement in extra curricular and extension activities within or outside the College Heads of the Departments, Vice Principals and Principal jointly do the content analysis.

The Principal personally discusses the impressions gathered with concerned teachers.
Such discussion normally moves around:

  • Sense of recognition for particular achievement.
  • Points of strength and the areas of improvement for better performance in future the exercise is done in objective manner absolutely for betterment.
  • The development of this sense among the teachers encourages them to adopt the method of self appraisal to look within the College firmly believes in informal personal dialogue method for this purpose.

Faculty Feedback

The College has evolved a practice of obtaining a feedback from the students about the teachers through a specially devised form. The evaluation sheet is an objective type questionnaire. Five points scale of evaluation has been provided for different aspects such as command over language / subject, class control, teaching skills, attitude and motivation skills. The teachers, Vice Principals and Principal collect the feedback from the students on random basis. The observations of the students are consolidated by the specially constituted committee and presented to the Principal. Through personal dialogue, the observations are communicated to the concerned teacher. The related evaluation sheets are made available to the teachers on demand.

Suggestion box method is used to collect different suggestions from the students. Students Grievance Committee compiles the suggestions and forwards them to the Principal. Observation and personal dialogue with the student is an effective tool used by the Principal and Vice Principals to know the feelings of the students about the teachers. Informal personal dialogue by Principal and Vice Principals with the teachers has been the best method in this regard.
